The Head of State praised the anti-crisis personnel policy at large enterprises

The well-being and employment of Kazakhstani residents should be the main priority for business enterprises. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev today at the closing session of the XXIV Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

"This session will be remembered by residents of Kazakhstanis, because it opens up a new era of peace and harmony in the country", - said the Head of State.

"A quarter of a century (the 25th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan) – is a landmark for any country, it emphasizes the maturity and success of our established state, passing through various difficulties", - stated the President.

The Head of State noted that "each day and year of Independence is very treasured by every citizen of Kazakhstan, we invested a lot of effort and patience to raise Kazakhstan to its feet".

"We changed our economy, we grew up a whole new generation of Kazakhstanis. Well, what a simple man needs - to own property, to do things that you like, to have a decent job, to receive support and protection from the state in difficult times", - said N. Nazarbayev.

"I think you will agree with me, looking back, looking at our history and passed way, I can say that Kazakhstan had never lived in such prosperity as now", - added the head of state.

"We pass through hard times, reduced profits, in some places there are difficulties with people, wages and employment. However, on my behalf all of our large companies, investors, I asked not to fire people. They should have a place of work. Of course, if necessary, it is possible to reduce the working week, sending employees on forced leave, still protecting people. And they operate. And I thank them for that", - said N. Nazarbayev.

The President also gave an assessment of the controversy surrounding the amendments to the Land Code.
